Final v Edgbaston L 0-1 to a penalty flick in the last minute of the game.

The boys played very well, excelling throughout the league stages, with 5 x wins from their 6 matches. Unfortunately tiredness crept in with the boys losing structure, allowing Edgbaston to stay in the final, edging it with a penalty flick awarded in the last 30 seconds of the game.

BRISTOL & WEST BADGERS TOURNAMENT
DATE : Sunday 2nd July 2023 Time : 9.30 – 16.00

VENUE : Mangotsfield School BS16 9LH

BBQ & DRINKS

The schedule:
 The tournament will be played between 11-a-side teams with shortened games depending on the number of sides competing.
 It will be a ‘round robin’ competition, and cross over finals .
 The pitches are booked from 9:00 – 17:00.

Badgers Rules:
a) Juniors should be aged 11-15 years with the exception that ‘if at the start of the Badgers season a player is 15 and becomes 16 in the Badgers season.
b) No more than 4 senior players allowed to take part. Players 17 & over will wear a ribbon/visible armband supplied by B&W.
c) Senior players are not allowed into the opposition’s D.
d) Senior players cannot participate in short corners except for the goalkeeper. Senior players from the attacking team must stand behind the halfway line until the corner is over.
e) 4 points for a win, 2 for a score Draw, 1 for a scoreless Draw, 0 for a loss, and 1 for each goal scored. Tie breakers are Goal diff, then goals scored then goals conceded.
f) In the event of a tie after completion of the final group games, the result will be decided by penalties.
