First League Win

Fortress RAU, well maybe not, but a good win nevertheless as the newly formed M5’s are starting to gel as a team. 2 goals from Paul Dillon, one in each half along with some resolute defending from Ruben & Adam who didn’t miss a tackle all day, led to a clean sheet for Woody and a nice 2-0 win.
And a big thank you to Sarah Hughes and Phez for umpiring.
A competitive game with both sides having their share of possession, the first goal came from open play, Paul finding some space in the circle to fire in at the near post past the keeper. Ben Hanson played brilliantly, commanding the whole of our left side of the pitch and never allowing Newent to gain any momentum, deservedly receiving the Man of the Match award.
Ciren’s second also came from open play, a move down the right ending in a cross that Paul slotted home.
