Opening tournament at Wotton

Well done to all the girls that made it to Wotton. With Biblical rain first thing it was amazing to see everyone turn out for the club, and as always be the first there.

Unfortunately commitment was less evident from Bath Hockey club who decided not to turn up with two teams. As such we were left with a slightly hollow fixture list.

Even so both Cirencester teams comfortably beat both opposing clubs, Westbury and Wotton. In the process a number of players from both teams getting on the score sheet. Cecily, Charlotte, Darcey, Holly, Libby and Lollie. Cecily notably scoring in all the games she played.

It was very encouraging to see the determination and commitment to protect our goal with some fantastic last minute tackles to keep both opposing teams out in all four games.

Our next outing in October will be far more challenging with the opposition clubs from Cheltenham always posing a stronger threat.
