Cirencester U14 Boys maintained their unbeaten record at home to Stroud on Sunday.
Despite the cold and windy conditions the boys played well throughout against a good opposition, with the defence of Freddie Burt, Algie Meakin and Max Hargitay holding strong.
It started well with Cirencester having most of the play and Edward Pearce-Smith converting an early chance - 1-0 up, but some even play followed with Stroud gaining in confidence. Sam Cloke increased the lead in the 19th minute before Stroud pulled one back - 2-1 at half time.
The second half started evenly with both teams having good possession, but any doubts were dismissed when Sam Cloke scored 2 x unanswered goals midway through the half. The scoring was completed by Hugo Hodson with a well struck shot beating the GK.
Some great movement from the team when in possession, using both wings really well. Griff Harrison down the left supported this creating many opportunities, and player-of-the-match Ewan Dillon down the right creating overlaps and using his speed to cover back in defence.
