The Merlins battled their way to a hard‑earned 1–0 victory against a strong Hereford side, showing real resilience and determination throughout a tightly contested match. From the first whistle, Hereford applied pressure and demonstrated their strength across the pitch, but the Merlins refused to be intimidated, matching their intensity and working tirelessly off the ball.

Smart use of space and some well‑timed, skillful tackling from Odette and Floss, eventually created the breakthrough Cirencester needed. A sharp attacking move opened up the Hereford defence, allowing Floss to seize the moment and slot home the decisive goal.

As the game moved into its final stages, Hereford pushed hard for an equaliser, spending long spells in the Merlins’ D. Immy W and Immy G were outstanding in defence, breaking down attacks with composure, while Holly Ralling delivered a superb performance in goal, making crucial saves to keep the score line intact.

Every player showed grit, teamwork, and determination to see the match out. It was a brilliant effort from the Merlins and a well‑deserved win.

Well done, Merlins.
