The Falcons put in a confident performance against a well‑organised Hereford side, coming away with a deserved 3–1 win. The opening exchanges were evenly matched, with both teams moving the ball well and testing each other’s structure. Gradually, the Falcons began to stretch the play, using the width more effectively and finding space in behind.
Their pressure paid off eight minutes in when Sofia fired home from a well‑worked short corner. Moments later, Hattie struck twice in quick succession, capitalising on strong passing phases to give the Falcons a commanding lead. Hereford pushed hard to respond, but Cirencester’s defence held firm through to halftime.
The second half saw Hereford come out determined, and they managed to force a goal over the line to narrow the gap. Despite the setback, the Falcons stayed composed, continuing to move the ball intelligently and create chances while keeping Hereford’s attacks under control.
Both teams showed great skill and teamwork, with plenty of positives in terms of passing, movement, and finding space.
Well played, Falcons.
