The Falcons delivered a dominant and confident performance in their cup clash against Wotton, securing an emphatic 10–0 victory. From the first whistle, the team showed excellent control in midfield with Emily, Odette, Abi and Mia tackling and driving forward with confidence and skill, moving the ball calmly and intelligently. Their sharp passing created wave after wave of attacking opportunities and Molly, Seren, Esther, Sofia and Lana showed great pace on the ball upfront making excellent passes into the D.
The forwards constantly stretched the Wotton defence, with Sofia scoring 6 goals and Hattie adding two composed finishes of her own, while Esther and Mia each contributed a goal to round off a superb team display.
We were strong defensively when the need arose with Darcie, Immy, and Rowan holding Wotton back impressively, giving Mia in goal very little to do.
As the match progressed, the Falcons’ confidence grew, and they took full advantage—pressing high, finding space, and linking up with real fluency. Despite the convincing score line, there are still areas to refine, particularly the strength and accuracy of passing into space, but this performance showed just how well the team is starting to gel.
A brilliant win and another result the girls should feel very proud of.
