Firstly a huge well done to all the players on a well deserved victory. Secondly a few thank you's; To Emily and Amelia for stepping in to fill the the gaps last minute. Also a particular thanks to Lauren for showing tremendous sportsmanship and volunteering to make up Cheltenham's numbers to make the game more competative in the second half; with 50% fewer goals scored in the second she did a great job of keeping Cirencester honest!

To the game itself, it was fantastic to see the confidence return to the team. Solid in defence with a particular mention to Lulu, Ellie and Lauren who kept poor Mia out of the game! Much more dominance in midfield with Hattie, Flora, Ester, Amelia and Emily; it was great to see the ball moving around in mid-field; this let to some cutting attacks from the forwards with a particular mention to Ruby and Ester who kept the Cheltenham defence working and which resulted in some extremely well manufactured goals. A particular mention to Hattie for grabbing four goals, to Ester who scored an extremely well worked goal to settle us into a stride early on and to Amelie as our goal scorers. What was particularly rewarding, was to watch the change in the team when it came to their work off the ball and in pressurising the opposition to regain possesion. This seems to have clicked from what has been a key learning point from both our previous games.
