For a second week running, Ciren Ladies 4's put on a solid team performance in what was a tightly contested game. The opposition maintained the pressure from start to finish but the 4's put away the only goal of the game, through a perfectly placed shot from Annabel Springthorpe, from a penalty corner.
The team was delighted to welcome Emily Skinner, in her first ladies game, who slotted in really well and was voted dame of the game. Sarah Ryan, often the scape goat for dippy, was given this honour unanimously this week for a number of dippy moments, which included publishing the team as the 3rd team, making her way on to the pitch minus her stick and finally losing her car keys! (Thankfully, found in the ladies loo!)
This has been great preparation for the second half of the league season, with a match against Colwell and Malvern next week, and then against league leaders, Newent, the following week.
