Combines ladies team at Glos Clubs Tournamnet

Turning up to a tournaments with only 11 players is always a tough ask. For a tournament supposedly only for teams in our ladies 3s division and below there were certainly a couple of teams which had included players from higher divisions which made the job even harder.
The results were as follows:
First game was against Lansdown which we won 1-0 courtesy of Izzy Edwards
Second game was a 2-0 loss against a strong Bretforton side
Our third game was a 2-1 loss to Lydney, scorer Jenny Jones. We were unlucky as we had numerous chances and only let in our second goal in the dying seconds when we were flagging at the end of back to back games.
Our fourth game was a 1-0 loss to Puffins
Out fifth and final game was a good 3-0 win over Painswick with 2 goals form Jenny Jones and one from Katie Jones
Thanks goes to Faye Webber for playing and taking us to 11 after injuries and illness took us down to 10 players. Well done to Emilia Powell for both her Cirencester and ladies debut. Well done to the whole team as everyone gave their all and there were some very sore bodies at the end of a long afternoon.
Final position as probably 4th and the team performance certainly showed that when we move to league games we will be on a level playing field with other clubs.
