Playing a surprisingly young Cheltenham 4s team, Ciren went 1-0 down within 2 mins after a swift break down the right. Cameron Cutmore levelled with a tight angled shot after a well worked move, before Freddie Fawcett took the initiative and scored an equally impressive goal to take Ciren into a 2-1 half time lead.

In a fairly tight game Cheltenham searched for an equaliser, before Cutmore grabbed his 2nd goal following a counter attach down the right involving the father and son Fawcett’s. Cheltenham upped their game and following a series of wasted short corners finally were awarded a penalty flick following a foot on the goal line from Bill Birkett. The flick was dispatched and game on at 3-2 with 15 mins to play.

Ciren then pushed further forward and after a mele in the circle, Cameron Cutmore finished from close range to complete an excellent hatrick. Ciren’s game management was then crucial to see out the final 10 mins.

Subperb team performance and the 4ths remain in the top half of the table.
