What might have been
A great attacking display from Cirencester, moving the ball well and creating plenty of chances.
1-0 up in the first half from a John Tasker goal, only to be pegged back by an equaliser early in the second half. Many chances going astray both before and after, so much that Bill Birkett left his defensive duties to slot home our second and with just 10 minutes to go, surely this was going to be our week. Unfortunately as these things go, B&W gained a penalty corner straight afterwards. From the penalty corner with the B&W shot going wide of Woody's right hand post by a couple of yards, Bill got his foot in the way and deflected it past the advancing keeper - 2-2 and honours even.
Good job it was a friendly, and with plenty of chances to redeem our attacking prowess in the coming league season
