But Please Follow The Guidance

From Monday 29th March we can return to the hockey pitch for training and "local" matches.

We have booked time at Deer Park for Senior mid-week training, U14/U16 B&G training, Saturday Junior training and Saturday Senior matches throughout April. All on the same days and at the same times as pre-lockdown. So please contact your usual coach or captain for details.

We do have to follow some England Hockey/Government Covid Guidance - basically the England Hockey stage 4 "Return to Hockey" plan.

The details are on the new England Hockey website under "Full Guidance" but here's a brief summary of the key points, your captain or coach will help you with these which have all been incorporated into our club Covid risk assessment.

- No more than 30 people on the Astro' in one group for training, but there can be more than one socially distanced groups, no more that 24 on the Astro for matches.
- Players off the pitch must follow the general Gov' social distancing rules.
- No spectators except for the parents and guardians of U18's on a one to one basis, social distancing must be observed; no mixing of families/support bubbles, please wear a face covering.
- No sharing of transport outside of immediate family/support bubble.
- All participants must have signed the EH Participation Agreement (no need to do this again if done previously).
- Every training session and match must have an attendance list which will be e-mailed to EH Track and Trace.
- All players to self check for Covid symptoms before attending a session, do not attend if you have symptoms, let your coach/captain/club Covid officer know if you have a positive Covid test result.
- No sharing of any equipment, every player to bring their own hand sanitiser and personal hockey equipment.

We will monitor EH/Gov' guidance on a regular basis and update these 'rules' accordingly.

Your Club Covid Officer is Claire Wells (chc_covid@outlook.com). Please e-mail Claire if you have any Covid concerns relating to club activities.

And after all that - enjoy your Hockey - see you all at Deer Park soon!
